Pain Management

Pain Management - Post injury / post trauma/ post Surgery Rehabilitation

Motion is key

After a major surgery or a traumatic injury, it is imperative to get your muscles working in order to speed recovery. The Tennant Biomodulator® will benefit you two-fold in your recovery. First there is pain control and the other is muscle stimulation.

Speeds recovery

Tennant Biomodulator® therapy can start prior to surgery on the area of concern. Many clients gain their prescription for the Tennant Biomodulator® PLUS and begin using the device anywhere from the day after surgery or injury to a couple of weeks later depending on how they feel. A Tennant Biomodulator® PLUS device can help you regain your function so you can resume normal daily activities faster.

Rehabilitation enhancement

As an alternative non-invasive therapy / pain reduction, it facilitates post-operative rehabilitation and may allow you to reduce pain medications.

Mechanism of the Tennant Biomodulator® PLUS

Pain messages transmitted by the peripheral nervous system to the brain are electro-chemical in nature. Controlling or overriding these impulses can bring about significant pain relief to patients.

With the Tennant Biomodulator®, a current is administered through the on-board treatment electrode or an external electrode placed in specific locations on the patient's skin. The low voltage current causes an electrical reaction in sensory and motor nerve fibers, overriding pain message transmission. The frequency and intensity of the stimulus are carefully controlled.

Clinical Application

Tennant Biomodulator® PLUS is useful for:

A low risk, first line treatment option

Patients whose pain therapy is limited by medication side effects

Pain treatment and management for general and specialty medical practices
